Jailed Ethiopians
How many Ethiopians would you say were currently languishing away in British prisons? Gerry Sutcliffe, Parliamentary Under-Secretary for the UK's Home Office has the answer.

When I think of "languishing" I think of Kaliti or AlemBekaygn or, in the old days, Menelik Palace and Aratenya KifleToor. I think of Hailu Shawil and Professor Mesfin Ms Demeksa Dr. Berhanu. I think of the ECA building and 60 shallow graves. Now, in this, the anniversary of the EPRP massacres, I think of torchered students screaming in cells, skins of feet falling to stone floors. This is languishing!!
I do not think people of any nation "languish" in Wormwood Scrubs or Brixton or Pentonville, any UK prison. Maze Prison was torn down to be turned into a football ground. Fo' Gawds sakes man, there is longstanding COMEDY programme on Television about being in the nick in dear ol Blighty.
(Garlic? and Bread? said Peter Kaye!!) Ethiopia? Prison? and Comedy? When will we see that Andrew Lung? I tell thee such sublime sitcom we not see before the winge-ed pigs and Jack frost in Jehannem! Och.. aYE..At least the Scotsman counted our people..more than can be said for some.. I'm sure those jailed in UK would agree, wholeheartedly that theirs is a better fit for purpose than the anguish of the languishing in circus courts gulags camps and giant incarators of Ethiopia.

woow what a disciplined people are we Ethiopians. Kenya with 20million population, have 60 prisoners in England.....We are 70million with only 53.

Surprising is the conspicuous absence of Eritreans in the list. There is a reason. When ever Eritreans are in trouble with the law in foreign country it is a standard practice to identify them selves as Ethiopians. It is a spiteful act designed to tarnish Ethiopian name. I am sure a close scrutiny would expose a substantial number of the 53 prisoners to be Eritreans.
