Interesting controversy. But I'd like to take the lighter side on this.

Andrew, do you realize the controversial word "Indaba" is just a couple of consonant movements away from creating a whole new word and controversy among Ethiopians? I will let you stew on that for a couple of days and figure out what I mean by it, if you already don't. You may have to ask for help from your Ethiopian freinds. LOL

Oh, and once you figure out what I mean, the possibilities for a great sourse of endless jokes about the word will be endless!!! LOL

well...here is a consonant movement of the word "indaba"...TO "inbada"...which has a meaning of "let's fuck". Man, the person who wrote is crazy. Anyways..if you read the word "indaba"..."ind..aba"...will have a meaning "Like the Monk/Priest"...so funnily the same word work it out a bit and will have a completely different meaning.
Peace Andrew!

Many thanks Chereka and t - my pitiful Amharic has just taken a giant step forward.

No problem Andrew.

t, thanks for the other meaning of indaba. I must say I was a bit embarassed for not recognizing that word first. I guess my libido was on overdrive that day. :)
