Brought to you in full technicolor

Here are the last of my photos of the return of the Axum obelisk. The event was really too big for me to capture on film. But they give an idea of the atmosphere on the streets.

I was a kind of curious as to what was going on today there at Axum as the final piece of the obelisk came down. Thank you for providing that information in text as well as in pictures so fast.

Go bless.

Forgot to mention that I am an Ethiopian-American residing in the US.

I visited Axum about 2 1/2 years ago, the town was dusty and stones everywhere, with all the interesting historical places. The rain that you had earlier today will help settle the dust.
